Frequency of Sexual Dysfunctions and Behaviors among Women Attendig Health Care Centers in West of Tehran %K Sexual dysfunction %K Prevalence %K Women %R %X Title: Frequency of Sexual Dysfunction among Women Attending Health Care Centers in West of Tehran Introduction: Sexual dysfunctions are common in women visiting psychiatrists. This study was performed to determine frequency of sexual dysfunctions and behaviors among women attending health care centers of Iran University of Medical Sciences located in west of Tehran. Association between these dysfunctions and different variables was assessed. It was determined that how many of participants thought their partners had sexual disorders. The study was perfomed since Oct2017 until Oct2018. Material and Methods: In this observational descriptive cross-sectional survey, 400 women attending health care centers of Iran University of Medical Sciences since Oct2017 to Oct2018 were enrolled and frequency of sexual dysfunctions and behaviors was determined between them and their partners by FSFI and QSF questionnaires. It was assessed if they were in good general health by GHQ questionnaire. Results: mean age of participants was 38.5 years and their mean BMI was 28.5kg/m. 223 subjects (55/8%) had sexual dysfunctions, including satisfaction (42.5%), pain(36.8%), desire(28.5%), arousal(25%), lubrication(29.8%) and orgasm disorder(30.5%). Frequency of sexual disorders was not related to age, BMI, mood disorders, psychosomatic problems, general health and somatic problems (p value more than 0.05). 8% of participants had masturbated at least once. Conclusion: More than half of women attending health care centers had sexual dysfunction and satisfaction disorder was the most prevalent one. 43% of participants thought their partners had sexual dysfunctions. These high rates require further attention. %U
