Shifting Burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in epidemiological transition has been matter of interest for epidemiologist over years. In this review we’re introducing sixth epidemiological transition “Corona and Misery “and related cardiovascular implications.
Method: We searched PubMed, Elsevier, MEDLINE, and Google Scholar regarding COVID-19 and Epidemiologic transition separately.
Results: Review of obtained data revealed significant effects of covid-19 on various aspects of cardiovascular involvement.
Conclusion: During recent decade, CVD has been the main cause of death around the world. COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the coronavirus pandemic with acute lethal pneumonia during late 2019 and early 2020 caused dramatic epidemiologic alterations around the world. During this pandemic, dominant pattern of mortality from inactivity and obesity was defeated by COVID-19-induced mortality. Evidently, this present pandemic, made tremendous alterations in the whole world, which is ongoing. In line with other global changes, significant also perceptible changes have occurred that appear to have altered the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease. In summary, may be the sixth epidemiological transition is emerging., “Corona and Misery “Which is the cause of great demographic changes and mortality pattern of disease.
