PCOS significantly increases the risk of infertility, cardiovascular diseases, and type II diabetes in women. Cinnamon has a strong history of decreasing insulin resistance and treatment of PCOS. Therefore, we aim to review the effects of the cinnamon herb and extract on changes in the serum levels of sex hormones and ovarian tissue, metabolic activity, lipid profile, and insulin resistance.
